ISTA test procedure 1D conducted at the Advance Packaging independent ISTA-certified test laboratory provides extended testing of individually packaged products weighing more than 150 lbs. when prepared for shipment. The ISTA 1D testing sequence starts with compression conditioning testing, followed by vibration and two shock tests, including a rotational edge-drop test to test the integrity of individually packaged products. Use ISTA test 1D to evaluate one package design’s integrity versus another and packaging designs for non-unitized items shipped small parcel and by common carrier.
