UPS Package Testing

Package testing is essential for shipping packaged products via UPS as well as other small parcel carriers. UPS has developed its Vendor Packaging Compliance Program to hold manufacturers and suppliers more accountable for providing adequate packaging for UPS small parcel shipping and thus, accountable for damages when packaging is deemed inadequate. Advance Packaging’s ISTA packaging test laboratory can test and certify your packaging’s performance to ISTA standards required by UPS and other small parcel carriers. We perform ISTA testing and certify test results in three to five business days. If your packaging fails ISTA testing standards UPS requires, Advance Packaging offers the region’s largest staff of packaging design professionals to help you design packaging that complies with UPS shipping requirements.
Many UPS shippers need to obtain certified results of ISTA 3A or ISTA 3F package testing. Other packaging tests are also available. For descriptions of all packaging test methods offered, go to the ISTA Packaging Tests page of the Advance Packaging website.
