U.S. Department of Energy Recognizes Advance Packaging’s Energy Saving Efforts

SFI Standards are met through environmentally responsible purchasing practices

Kentwood, MI — The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) recognized Advance Packaging with an Energy Saver Plant award for energy saving efforts at its Jackson, MI plant. The Energy Saver Plant award through the DOE Save Energy Now program recognizes Advance Packaging for achieving over 7.5% in total energy savings.

The Save Energy Now campaign helps industrial companies find low-cost ways to save energy while improving productivity. The energy assessment is conducted for the DOE through university-based Industrial Assessment Centers.

Over 700 plants nationwide applied for and received assessments—an intensive three-day process where DOE energy experts worked closely with Tim Anthony and other key Advance Packaging key personnel to identify target opportunities. Advance Packaging is among 170 U.S. Manufacturer’s to receive a 2007 award.
